Edward Reeves
Piano & Cello
Edward Reeves, founder of Farnham Music and Drama, passionately believes in the value of music for all. A classically trained pianist from the Royal College of Music, Edward has been teaching music for over 20 years to students from age two to ninety years old. Before founding Farnham Music and Drama, Edward was Director of Music at a specialist music school in Surrey. Edward teaches the piano, cello, singing and conducts both adult ensembles, the Thursday choir and along with Jenny runs the Centre Stage Groups. He also runs the children's string group and jazz bands.
Jenny Randall
Singing, Flute & Musical Theatre
Edward is joined by Jenny Randall, a classically trained singer and flautist who has an MA in Musical Theatre from The Central School of Speech & Drama. Together with her own acting career, Jenny loves working with students, both children and adults, to give them a lifelong love of performing arts. Jenny is our main singing teacher but also teaches flute, drama and musical theatre. She joins Edward with Centre Stage and Mini Maestros Music classes.
Kanse Capon
Saxophone, Clarinet and Flute
Kanse studied at Trinity College of Music with Gerard McChrystal attaining a BMus (Hons) Performance on Saxophone. He enjoys a varied performing career which includes being a member of two successful saxophone quartets, playing in shows, orchestral playing and doing solo work. Kanse has performed in France, Germany, Holland and the UK with a recent major achievement being playing as a Concerto Soloist at the British Saxophone Congress in 2011. Kanse is passionate about teaching and aims to inspire the love for music he has in others. His teaching includes private lessons and teaching at More House School as well as teaching at Farnham Music & Drama. Kanse teaches saxophone, clarinet, flute, piano and runs the sax ensemble.
Craig Burnett
Brass
Craig Burnett began playing the trumpet aged 10. After studying under Paul Archibald and Andrew Crowley at the Royal College of Music gaining a BMus (Hons) degree Craig went on to continue his studies with a postgraduate diploma at the Royal Academy of Music.
Craig has performed throughout the world as an orchestral and chamber musician and as a soloist. He is a versatile player with a keen interest in all genres of music and is currently principal trumpet of the Charities Philharmonia, which is based in London. Other experiences include the London Symphony Orchestra, Northern Sinfonia, BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and the Royal Opera House to name but a few.
Charlotte Hobbs
Piano
Charlotte Hobbs is an accomplished pianist. As an experienced piano accompanist she has played for Elmhurst School for Dance, The Royal Ballet School, Canoldir Male Choir and Ex Cathedra Junior Academy. She completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Music in 2009, under the tuition of Robert Markham and Philip Martin. Charlotte then became Musician in Residence at a school in Stourbridge, providing accompaniment for students and assisting in music classes. More recently Charlotte has been based in Hampshire and Surrey, where she has continued her work as a ballet accompanist, played for the children's drama school 'Perform' and accompanied many performers. She has also enjoyed performing with Theatre Alibi for their production of The Crowstarver. Charlotte loves to share her passion for music with others and is delighted to be working as a piano teacher at Farnham Music and Drama.
Rob Capewell
Guitar
Rob Capewell studied at the Academy of Contemporary Music attaining a BMus (Hons) degree in music performance on guitar. Since completing his degree Rob has played on numerous Westend theatre shows such as; Mamma Mia, Blood Brothers, Joseph and the amazing technicolor Dreamcoat. Rob has also toured with award winning South African artist Chris Chameleon, played live on tv with Loose Woman’s Zoe Tyler and performed with Matt Lucas.
Rob has also recorded the online lesson videos for the rock and pop guitar grade syllabus and has 15 years of teaching experience in schools, colleges & adult evening classes.
In his spare time Rob likes to spend time writing and recording music. He has recording credits with various dance labels and the Jonathon Ross house band ‘4 Poofs and a Piano’.
Sue Fletcher
Violin
Sue began learning the violin at the age of 10, and after a completing a specialist music course in Hampshire, we on to study at the Royal Academy of Music. Sue studied violin with the late Howard Davies and graduated with GRSM (hons), LRAM and a post graduate diploma. She spent two years with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra after which she continued performing with The Philharmonia Orchestra and toured with them as far as Australia, Japan and South America. Sue also guest lead and co-lead the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and BBC National Orchestra of Wales amongst others. She is currently a member of the Chamber Ensemble of London.
A fully trained Suzuki Method Teacher and a Music Therapist, Sue is now enjoying a busy life balancing her performing with regular teaching and coaching. Most importantly, encouraging and teaching her daughter to play violin and piano.
Linda Sprague
Singing & Admin
Linda trained at the RNCM and in the Opera School of the Royal College of Music. As a classical singer, she toured Great Britain, Europe and the Far East in roles such as Dorabella (Cosi Fan Tutti), Hansel (Hansel & Gretel) and Carmen before becoming a Head of Music at Weydon, All Hallows and St Peters (Guildford). However, she took early retirement and has reached the pinnacle of her career; working at FMD.
